If you're after a new sports sedan that's as luxurious and upscale as it is athletic and powerful, you've found it in the reimagined 2021 TLX! We invite you to uncover the all-new TLX online, then contact our Acura specialists for more information on this sedan's impending arrival.
Acura's second-generation TLX is ready to unleash more power and performance than ever. This all-new sedan is named Acura's best-handling and quickest sedan in the marque's illustrious history. Then, consider the legendary Type S edition that's returning to the Acura lineup. This sports sedan looks set to become the standard for performance, style, luxury and value in its segment.
A high-output 2.0-liter VTEC® turbocharged engine is standard in the 2021 TLX sedan, developing 272 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. The new TLX's standard torque and horsepower figures eclipse that of the previous-generation TLX by a wide margin. The enticing new TLX Type S debuts Acura's new 3.0-liter V6 turbo engine that delivers even greater power and performance. Both powertrains are paired with the automaker's highly responsive 10-speed automatic transmission, featuring paddle shifters and Sequential SportShift.
Bold & Innovative Design
Acura designers came up with some revolutionary ideas for the entirely reimagined 2021 TLX. The result is a stunning new direction for Acura's performance luxury sedan. The new TLX boasts an athletic stance, thanks to its wider and lower profile. A longer and more pronounced hood creates a dramatic appearance. The aggressive and confident stance of the redesigned TLX hints at this sedan's high-performance capabilities.
The front-end of the all-new TLX is highlighted by a long hood that leads to a bolder version of Acura's diamond pentagon grille. The automaker's signature Jewel Eye® LED headlights are here, now with four LED elements, and complemented by bright-white "Chicane" LED daytime running lights. A long, lean side profile leads into muscular rear wheel arches. A short overhand at the rear of the sedan is finished with exposed dual exhaust outlets and "Chicane" LED taillights.
More Athletic Than Ever
Beyond its athletic design and potent powertrains, there's plenty more to uncover about this new performance luxury sedan. Its all-new chassis was engineered to deliver an even more refreshing sports sedan experience. The TLX's advanced new chassis includes the return of double-wishbone front suspension to the Acura sedan lineup. With enhanced ride quality, dialed-in handling and improved cornering grip, this sedan is eager to perform in all driving situations. Acura's 4th-generation SH-AWD® system is here and optimizes for all-weather traction and cornering performance.
With its new chassis, front suspension and powertrains comes a new, more rigid body structure. A significant increase in torsional stiffness is possible, thanks to Acura's use of highly advanced, lightweight materials. Extensive use of aluminum also contributes to the lightweight nature of this strong and powerful new TLX.
Advanced & Intuitive Cockpit
The 2021 Acura TLX is a sports sedan at its core, but it provides a luxurious drive, too. Acura's Precision Crafted Performance philosophy continues inside the cabin, with a driver-focused cockpit, premium amenities and high-quality materials. Available high-grade materials like full-grain Milano leather, open-pore wood and real aluminum set the tone for a stimulating driving experience.
Acura's next-generation performance luxury sedan is loaded with the latest automotive innovations, both inside and out. Its driver-oriented True Touchpad Interface™ and high-mounted 10.2-inch HD display help the driver stay focused on the road while navigating vehicle information and settings. The driver's gauge cluster houses a large 7-inch full-color Multi-Information Display (MID); a 10.5-inch full-color Head-Up Display (HUD) is also available.
